76ers ready to battle Celtics, history

Having survived to play at least one more game, the Philadelphia 76ers continue to battle history when they visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. You have likely heard this all before: No team has ever come from down 0-3 to win an NBA playoff series, with teams going 129-0 when leading 3-0. The Celtics are 36-0 all-time when taking at least a 2-0 lead in a series.

It is far, far too early to say Ainge won that trade.

An improbable Eastern Conference finals rematch with the Cleveland Cavaliers is in reach for the Boston Celtics. The only thing delaying it is one more victory against a Philadelphia 76ers team intent on not becoming the latest to join a dubious NBA club. Toronto was swept by Cleveland on Monday to become the 130th consecutive team in NBA history to fail to overcome a 3-0 deficit.

Embiid on scuffle with Rozier: ‘Too bad he’s so short’

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid didn't try to squash any bad blood with Boston Celtics guard Terry Rozier when asked about the pair's in-game scuffle Monday night. The 7-foot Embiid and the 6-foot-2 Rozier had to be separated after a spat late in the second quarter of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference playoff series that resulted in technical fouls assessed to both players. The encounter began when Embiid attempted to take the ball from Rozier after the latter was called for an offensive foul.
